Prop firm consistency rule explained: every futures firm's rule

How the consistency rule works at futures prop firms — to pass the evaluation and to get paid on the funded account — from each firm's published rules.

What a consistency rule is

A consistency rule limits how much of the total profit may come from a single day. Firms use it in two places: in the evaluation (a single big day can block the pass or raise the profit target) and on the funded account (it decides when a payout can be requested).

Example — E8 Futures (E8 Markets) Zero Max 25K: the best day may be at most 40% of the profit. With the $1,500 target, a best day of $1,100 raises the target to $2,750 (best day ÷ 0.4). (As of 2026-10-31.)

How the live passes measured up

Across 146 live passes in the PropPass directory, the best day was a median 77% of the pass's net profit; 25 of 146 passes had a best day at or below 50%, as of Nov 1, 2026. Many passes finished in one or two trading days on packages without an evaluation consistency rule; on packages that have one, every pass met it.

What is a prop firm consistency rule?
A consistency rule limits how much of the total profit can come from a single day — for example, the best day may be at most 50% of the profit. Some firms block the pass until the rule is met, others raise the profit target.
